The Democracy Festival on June 23rd was celebrated with great cheer at the Yenikapı Event Area. Our company teams exhibited Porous Asphalt and Recycled Asphalt to the public at our booth. These products, drawing particular interest from the youth, won commendations for their positive environmental impacts.
The third anniversary of the seminal June 23, 2019 elections, marking a milestone in Turkey's democratic journey, was commemorated with a 'Democracy Festival' hosted at Yenikapı. The all-day event, commencing in the afternoon, featured an array of vibrant performances. Istanbul residents experienced an exuberant evening with concerts by Evdeki Saat, Mavi Gri, BEGE, Reynmen, DJ Ersin, and Edis.
IMM Mayor, Ekrem İmamoğlu, addressed the crowd, primarily young people, at the rally site. İmamoğlu stated, "The majority of citizens in this country are clamoring for change. If we bring about this change with a robust will and peaceful resolution, our worries will give way to hope. But all these are contingent on your proactive efforts. You are the source of both hope and progress. If you desire it, anything is possible. No one should deviate onto the wrong path. No one should miscalculate. In this country, the voice of the people holds sway."
İSFALT Gains Recognition for Its Eco-friendly Products
At the Democracy Festival, featuring all subsidiaries and divisions of IMM, İSFALT's booth attracted significant attention from the public. Our most recently developed Porous Asphalt and Recycled Asphalt projects were displayed at our booth situated in the Yenikapı event area.
The Porous Asphalt model, known for its eco-friendly water permeability properties, intrigued the visitors. Our R&D team answered queries from the youth and explained how the green spaces on sidewalks and roadsides can be watered naturally through porous asphalt.
Our Recycled Asphalt project was also showcased among our exhibits. Our teams shared with the public our work related to reprocessing and reusing asphalt sourced from roads. Both of our projects centered around conserving nature and our country's resources, and they earned the appreciation of our visitors.
