İSFALT A.Ş., having thoroughly prepared for the 2022 Winter Crisis Response Operations, has swiftly mobilized in response to the snow alert. Our teams, well-trained and equipped, stand ready to minimize the adverse effects of the harsh weather conditions. The company's operations, spanning approximately 2,000 km, are powered by our 898 personnel and 462 vehicles. On receiving the snow alert from the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, the General Directorate of Meteorology, and AKOM, İSFALT A.Ş.'s teams have been swiftly deployed. Completing all necessary Winter Crisis Response Operations pre-requisites in time, the teams stand ready under the supervision of the IMM Road Maintenance and Infrastructure Coordination Department. İSFALT's continuous operations ensure a swift response to any potential negative events in the mega city. The IMM, along with its affiliates, are working relentlessly for a comfortable winter for Istanbul's 16 million residents. Supported by a total workforce of 7,421 personnel, İSFALT and IMM teams are on standby at various locations, equipped with 1,582 vehicles and a staggering 206,000-ton salt stockpile, ready to respond to any situation.

Maintenance, Training, and Drills
Within the scope of Winter Crisis Response Operations, comprehensive maintenance was performed on all the vehicles that are planned to be used throughout the winter season. We have also finished the hiring process of all the staff members who will join the Winter Crisis Response Operations, following the necessary equipment and training provisions. Once the newly onboarded staff completed their occupational safety training, they received practical and theoretical instruction from us on topics such as operating machinery, vehicle parts, and driving techniques.
We took the vehicles at our disposal on reconnaissance runs along their assigned routes for potential snowfall, establishing which vehicle would work in which area in case of snowfall. Once the final checks were completed, our vehicles finished the pre-exercise route tours with all of our drivers. These exercises allowed our teams to identify any possible disruptions beforehand and rectify them prior to any snowfall.
İSFALT Participating in AKOM-Run Crisis Simulations
On the night of 17th December 2021, all vehicles belonging to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Road Maintenance and İSFALT participated in a drill run by AKOM. These vehicles, monitored via the Vehicle Tracking System from AKOM, ensured complete route coverage.
Our company, with a route spanning nearly 2000 km, collaborates on shared routes and fields with IMM Road Maintenance units. Furthermore, our engineers and technicians at AKOM continue to provide round-the-clock service.
Immediate 24/7 Response to Vehicle Breakdowns
During the Winter Crisis Response Operations, our company's roving maintenance teams were on-call for any sporadic vehicle breakdowns. These teams maintained a continuous rotational service, 24/7, to address any vehicle malfunctions promptly.

To ensure uninterrupted operations despite heavy snowfall, İSFALT develops a multitude of solutions. Our snow plowing vehicles are provisioned to refuel without diverging from their assigned route. Simultaneously, our dedicated team of drivers and operators are on a 24-hour rotation during Winter Crisis Response Operations, ensuring continuous coverage. Our entire fleet of vehicles is always ready for deployment, irrespective of the weather conditions.
