REVAMPING OF WASTE AREAS AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ZERO WASTE SYSTEM

  • We have established areas for the disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. The hazardous waste area has been constructed with the top and sides enclosed, while the non-hazardous waste area has a fully enclosed roof with the sides cordoned off with wire.
  • We have assigned supervisors to monitor hazardous and non-hazardous waste areas to maintain control over content and ensure accurate separation. These assignments are visibly displayed in the waste areas.
  • We have designated specific storage areas for scrap materials.
  • Two enclosed depots have been constructed for multipurpose use, safeguarding raw materials and equipment from the impact of weather conditions.
  • In order to facilitate the separation of hazardous waste at the source, we have acquired and positioned containers at the points where waste is generated (15 containers of 85LT, 5 containers of 120LT, 10 containers of 240LT).
  • We have also procured and located containers (3 containers of 660LT) for temporary storage of hazardous waste until its disposal.
  • As part of the Zero Waste Project of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change of the Republic of Turkey, we have obtained and positioned two sets of zero waste six-packs at the upper and lower levels of our administrative building.
  • We have sourced and set up six large containers in compliance with zero waste regulations for temporary storage of non-hazardous waste.
  • Visual information boards have been mounted on top of our zero waste source separation boxes to foster awareness and ensure correct separation.
  • We have supplied colored bags to our zero waste source separation boxes and initiated our application for zero waste system certification.

DUST PREVENTION MEASURES

  • We have established water storage areas and positioned tanks for site irrigation.
  • An irrigation system has been installed that covers the entire work site (irrigation sprinklers have been positioned at 12 locations to cover the entire area).
  • Nozzles integrated with the irrigation system have been added to the bunkers on our work site.
  • Our site's conveyor belts also have been fitted with nozzles integrated with the irrigation system.
  • The conveyor belt systems and dust sources have been enclosed with tarpaulin to establish a closed system.
  • We have carried out asphalt paving over the entire factory floor.

MEASUREMENT TESTS AND CHECKS

  • Environmental noise measurements have been conducted.
  • Emission-immission measurements have been conducted.
