ISFALT serves in the "Fight Against Winter" in coordination with the teams affiliated with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. An approximately 2 thousand kilometers road network is under its responsibility, under adverse weather conditions that affect the traffic flow and safety of Istanbul during the winter months.

İSFALT plays an important role in the "Fight Against Winter" activities with its 2270 specially trained personnel and a fleet of 549 vehicles with technical characteristics that can meet different requirements.

Theoretical and practical training programs are given to the relevant personnel by ISFALT on subjects such as driving techniques and occupational safety so that they can do their work in the most efficient way during the period of need, and technical equipment and application exercises are carried out for the same purpose. Drivers and operators assigned to winter services are prepared for duty according to a 24-hour uninterrupted work plan, and applications such as solutions that provide refueling to snow plows without leaving their route are designed throughout the year for the "Fight Against Winter" period.
